DSRT Surf Wavegarden Cove Approved

The Palm Desert City Council gave final unanimous approval to the development of DSRT Surf resort and its Wavegarden Cove surfing pool last evening. This comes just a month after the Palm Desert planning Commission gave the project the green light.

Unlike the Palm Springs Surf Club -- already under construction -- DSRT Surf will also have hotels, villas and residences as part of the wave pool development.

Situated adjacent to the Desert Willows golf course, DSRT Surf promises to be not only environmentally-friendly, a boon to the local economy, but great for surfing. You'll be able to surf from 6:00am to 10:00pm weeknights and 6:00am to midnight on weekends in the 15.5 acre Wavegarden Cove. Check out this video to see what the future of surfing in Palm Desert will be like. Only bummer, completion of DSRT Surf is at least two years away.
